Sportswear Designer - Hertfordshire

Up to £45,000

Are you a passionate Sportswear/Lifestyle Designer within the retail clothing and accessories industry! Are you looking for a new position and interested in working for a sportswear specialist brand? Do you have strong experience in creating tech packs? Then this role is for you.

This role will be heading up the white label arm of the business and managing a team of freelancers. The role will report into the Head of Design and has fantastic progression opportunities. This is based in Hertfordshire and is commutable from North London.

So what will you be doing in this role as Sportswear Graphic Designer?

  • You will be designing and developing of the main fashion range collections for SS & AW
  • You will be leading and taking ownership of briefs from the brands but also when passing to freelancers
  • You will be supporting the Heads of Department and Design Managers to shape the range and deliver the product vision
  • You will be using product knowledge and presentation skills to own and engage others in your range vision at business presentations
  • You will be producing creative and innovative designs with clear tech packs to produce 'right first time' samples
  • You will be proactively action and/or follow briefs in new trim and labelling requirements for product and design spec packs
  • You will attend fit sessions with the technical team in order to maintain fit consistency within product area

So what will you need to be successful in this role as Sportswear Graphic Designer?

  • You will be a sports/lifestyle apparel designer, with a design related degree.
  • You will be comfortable creating detailed Tech Packs with Graphic sizing etc.
  • You will be passionate about design and able to demonstrate a clear understanding of different brands core/target customer
  • You will be knowledgeable in colour, fabric direction and innovation
  • You will be a great communicator with and enthusiastic and engaging manner
  • You will be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • You will be experienced in using Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft office
