Senior Merchandiser

Would you like to work for a fast growing online retail business? Our client are a beautiful well known online brand offering garden, home and gifting products to their customers. The brand have a wide category of carefully ranged branded and own branded products.

What to expect in this role as Senior Merchandiser:

• Work closely with buyers and other merchandisers to plan plant product ranges
• Managing budgets with the guidance of Merchandise Manager
• Detailed sales forecasting to maximise sales and profit according to the category strategy
• Controlling stock levels within budgets using a WSSI
• Supplier management
• Ensuring data integrity in our catalogue planning spreadsheets

What you need to be a successful in this role as Senior Merchandiser:

• Merchandising experience is essential in a UK retail business
• Good communication and motivation skills
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and be highly analytical
• Must have an interest and wide knowledge of plants

The role would be ideal for someone highly numerate with a strong analytical skill set, demonstrable problem solving and creative thinking as well as strong communication skills. This may suit someone who is currently working within horticulture in a logistics, supply chain or merchandising position.
