Quality Assurance Auditor - Somerset - Up to £45k - Fast Growing Business. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance professional with retail experience to join a business with excellent career progression and reputation for the quality of it's products. This role would involve leading and developing the Quality Assurance Team in ensuring that products are made and sold to the highest quality and safety standards.

What does the Quality Assurance Auditor role involve?

  • Staying abreast of regulatory changes, recommending and implementing changes where necessary to ensure compliance of all products sold. Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure that products sold internationally comply with relevant local safety regulations and standards.

  • Manage auditing of suppliers to ensure Code of Conduct is abided by in all trading locations. Introducing necessary controls to ensure all teams and locations are fully compliant with local quality and safety standards.

  • Regular assessment and analysis of performance, quality and packaging in order to minimise returns, working with stakeholders to implementing continuous process improvements.

  • Work with relevant teams to assist in the creation and application of consolidated packaging and product specifications. Providing ongoing support and training to internal stakeholders on product development with particular reference to safety and quality standards.

  • Monitor and influence distribution centre activity to ensure all products sold are in line with internal standards and suitable for transportation in all trading locations.

  • Manage the activities, performance and development of the team through regular appraisal and training.

  • First point of contact for all safety and quality queries, recommending and taking actions to resolve accordingly internally/externally.

Essential Skills and experience required for this Quality Assurance Auditor role:

  • Prior experience in a Quality Assurance auditing role with commercial retail experience as a preference.

  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant health and safety, environmental and quality regulation and legislation.

  • Experience of managing and developing a team with great communication skills (verbal and written) at all levels.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to analyse gather and analyse data at short notice to drive decision making.
