What can you expect in this Qualified Management Accountant role?
Preparation of accurate monthly management accounts for the business unit to agreed timetable including (income statements, balance sheets, prepayments and accruals, reconciliations)
Regular and ad-hoc preparation and reporting of KPIs and financial performance, with analysis and commentary.
Provide support and analysis to the business and project team to review, assess and measures the financial impact of projects activity; ensuring accurate reflection with forecasts.
Preparing and updating key supporting documentation including IFRS15, Cancellations and Financed Debtors.
Ensure that the costs for the business units are recorded correctly during each accounting period and correctly coded to account code, cost centre and project codes.
Preparation, analysis and agreement of annual forecast (including balance sheet and cashflow) as required to be submitted to Group for consolidation.
Attending meetings with key stakeholders as the Finance Subject Matter Expert to communicate and provide opinion and support on financial matters.
Facilitate the year end audit process including liaising with auditors as necessary.
Work with the Head of Management Reporting with regards to analysis of financial performance or requests from key external stakeholders.
Work with key stakeholders regarding variances to plan and investigate accordingly.
What is required for this Qualified Management Accountant role?
A fully Qualified Management Accountant (CIMA, ACCA etc) with experience within a similar role, ideally within a fast-paced financial services business.
Ability to apply technical accounting logic to data from a complex variety of sources and systems.
Able to apply technical accounting logic
A confident, self-starter with a postive attitude and the ability to provide respectable and trusted opinion on financial matters.
You will have high attention to detail and the ability to meet tight regulatory and financial deadlines.
You will pro-actively stay up to date with professional and industry standards, regulations and legislation.
Knowledge of Access Dimensions, Focalpoint and Connect IP would be beneficial.
