Online Merchandiser - Berkshire - Up to £35k

Do you have E-Commerce / Online Merchandising experience with a UK recognised high street retailer? Are you looking for a new role where you can put your communication, influencing and organisational skills to test?

Based in Berkshire, our client is a specialist online retailer, and they are looking to bring in an experienced Online Merchandiser to head up a major project for them.

What does this Online Merchandiser role involve?

Managing portfolio of primary online clients developing strong business relationships, improving customer journey and working to increase sales and conversion across the sites.

Account Management

Full ownership of major client's websites KPI's ensuring all targets are met and establishing achievable joint business plans.

Maintaining close relationships with all areas of affiliate teams (trading / marketing / merchandising) through management of weekly conference calls, monthly trading meetings, and quarterly business updates to inform and influence long and short term business plans.


Management of online trading plans for each account ensuring tailored offers and onsite activity based on the customers' profile and behavior, tying this into wider activity / marketing opportunities and email campaigns.

Liaising with buying teams to ensure promotional plans are accurate and as commercially strong as possible.

Ongoing competitor analysis, which is fed into buying teams to contribute towards establishing suitable pricing and quality of products as well as identifying gaps in the market for each account to capitalise on.


Liaising with internal retail buying teams to ensure sufficient stock for strong selling lines and any SKUs included in PR events or other marketing activity.

Securing further traffic driving opportunities for all accounts through online & offline marketing channels and merchandising tools.

Preparing and creating design briefs for online and print marketing opportunities (such as web pages, asset redesign, order inserts), establishing timelines to meet deadlines.

Proactively planning and scheduling project activities (such as website or service updates, improvements to existing operations), collaborating with relevant team members and other stakeholders until completion.

Essential Skills and experience required for this Online Merchandiser role:

Online Merchandising/E-commerce experience with a UK retailer

Strong team leadership skills

Strong analytical skills, use of Google Analytics and Excel are important

Excellent presentation/communication skills
