Merchandise Planner (Menswear) - London - up to £45k

Merchandise Planner (Menswear) - London - up to £45k. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Merchandise Planner to join a fast-paced, industry leading business with strong plans for continuous growth. This is a multi-channel role with a broad remit, heavily focused on the understanding of market trends to enhance store propositions and sales performance.

What does the Merchandise Planner (Menswear) role involve?

  • You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the purchase and allocation of stock is both appropriate and accurate, whilst ensuring timely delivery in line with seasonal trends.

  • Regular and Ad-Hoc sales and margin analysis by channel, markets and outlets to identify risks and opportunities, making strategic recommendations to improve performance where possible.

  • Partnering with multi-channel contacts to provide functional support; ensuring appropriate stock levels, maintaining and enhancing margin and sales performance.

  • Continue to monitor business, market and consumer trends as input to strategy, identifying and implementing improvements as necessary.

  • Ensure suitable stock levels maintained in line with market and seasonal trends.

  • You will be responsible for the management and development of your team through weekly team meetings, performance reviews and monitoring of weekly statistics.

Essential Skills and Experience required for this Merchandise Planner (Menswear) role:

  • Prior experience of a Merchandising role within a fast-paced, premium retail business.

  • Strong internal/external stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.

  • A natural leader, experienced in forecasting, planning and taking ownership and accountability for multiple workstreams.

  • A natural Problem Solver with the ability to identify and escalate issues, ensuring pro-active action taken to resolve.

  • Excellent communication skills - written ,verbal and presentation. Ability to influence and drive decision making.
