Merchandiser - Manchester - up to £45k - Fast-paced, Growing Business
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Merchandiser to join a market leading business that is known for the quality of its product and service, who is heavily investing in the growth of the organisation. This role would involve management of the full product lifecycle for your category, working closely with the Buying team, to achieve departmental goals whilst contributing directly to the success and ongoing growth of the business.
What does the Merchandiser role involve?
You will contribute to weekly trade meetings with regards to your category; reviewing line performance and recommending improvements where necessary, management of departmental WSSI, providing insightful analysis and product reviews to support decision making.
You will work closely with the buying team to produce range plans and forecasting to ensured delivery of targets.
Continuous monitoring and management on forecasts to ensure accuracy vs expectations including formulation of effective inbound stock phasing, communicating & managing these plans with vendors and within capacity constraints. Ensuring and improving Supply Chain flexibility where possible.
You will be responsible for full product life cycle management including; proactively working with commercial teams to ensure planning and delivery of lines across all channels, including e-commerce and international.
You will be responsible for the management and development of your team through weekly team meetings, performance reviews and monitoring of weekly statistics.
You will contribute to the development, enhancement and updating of relevant systems and processes; leading and making improvements where possible.
Essential Skills and Experience required for this Merchandiser role:
Prior experience of a Merchandising role within a fast-paced retail environment, preferably including online.
Strong internal/external stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
Evidenced data analysis experience - Ability to understand, interpret and provide recommendations on commercial information, drawing conclusions and making recommendations.
High level of experience in full Critical Path management; a natural Problem Solver with the ability to identify and escalate issues, ensuring pro-active action taken to resolve.
Excellent communication skills - written ,verbal and presentation. Ability to influence and drive decision making.
