Operations / Other head office

East Midlands / North West

Job Description

Central Operations Manager, East Midlands

It's tough out there in retail. The economy is stagnant, technology is moving at an industrial pace and there are a couple of icebergs on the horizon. As such our client has spent two years formulating a long term plan to overcome the many obstacles facing today's retailers. When I say long term, I really mean long term, a plan that takes their business in to the next 20 years and beyond. A plan that embraces all the headwinds and covers every eventuality. Such a plan requires exceptional people. The change required is enormous and the capital investment is available to match the ambition. It won't be easy, change never is. However, with newly created roles across the business and fresh perspectives being introduced through new talent it will be achieved. If you are a retailer who has Central Operations or Divisional level experience then you will have an opportunity to join a business that has a plan, a business that has purpose and a business that can offer a long term career.

So what does the role involves?

As the Central Operations Manager you will:

  • Communicate operational and commercial changes to the store estate

  • Ensure all actions fit within the workload plan

  • Represent retail operations at key head office departmental meetings

  • Review & improve operations to make the business faster, better and more efficient

  • Provide the Management team with solutions to provide first in class customer service

  • Work in collaboration with different stakeholders within the business utilising your communication and negotiation skills to implement multiple projects

What qualities will you need for this role?

* You will have experience in Central Operations in a Retail environment or you will have worked at Divisional level in retail operations managing a team of area managers

* You will have experienced projects that require change and very tight deadlines

* You will be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership behaviours

If you are ready for a change and wants to join a company that will believe in you and will develop you at your best then please apply and we can discuss everything in more details.
