Our client is a lifestyle horticulture business with a fantastic product range based in South West London. They are now seeking an experienced Buyer to join their horticulture team! So what does this Buyer - Horticulture role involve?
You will be responsible for creating your strategy working with suppliers, building relationships and strategically sourcing, developing and implementing a market leading range with an optimal pricing architecture and promotional plan which meets the requirements of the agreed strategy and plan for your category so as to deliver the best financial contribution.
You will continually manage and analyse your ranges performance, whilst keeping a close eye on current trends and competitors, to identify opportunities and make recommendations for changes where necessary, ensuring you maximise sales, profit and margin for your category.
You must be an excellent communicator and negotiator with the ability to influence decision making, working alongside suppliers and merchandisers to ensure effective promotional planning, pricing and stock availability is maximised for your category.
What experience will you need for this Buyer - Horticulture role?
You must have retail experience in buying horticulture or fresh (perishable) produce to be considered for this role.
