Job Description

Business Development Manager, Thames Valley
Are you currently a Business Development Manager looking to join a company with integrity and 100% focused on customer service? You will need to be comfortable to travel across Thames Valley, Reading, Brighton, Bedfordshire.

The business
Our client has enjoyed fantastic growth in the last few years and has plans in place to grow organically and through acquisition moving forward. The business provides facility management services with a focus on cleaning contracts across the UK. The business has an experienced Board of Directors from a varied background of industries and have also added several heads into the Senior Leadership Team to further drive commercial activity. Head office is based in the Oxford region but their customers are nationwide.

The role
As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for getting on board as many partners as possible to help your Regional Directors to grow their areas. This will include generating demand, leading cross selling efforts into other regions of the entire Business Portfolio of products, services and solutions commercial cleaning.

  • Proactively identify new opportunities and deliver innovative solutions to customers
  • Develop market strategies and action plans by researching lists of high potential prospects.
  • Developing, selling, implementing, and evaluating business plans to meet or exceed financial goals.
  • Produce and maintain market information relevant to territory. Reporting competitor's activity and new potentials on the market.
  • Analyse selling situations and create customer-focused solutions.
  • Build long term relationships with target customers based on a consultative sales approach
  • Collaborate with other group departments to ensure that a full understanding of operational requirements is achieved and maintained.

The person
You will need to be someone who loves building relationships and have amazing communication skills due to the diverse stakeholders involved in your duties. You will be someone who has experience in a Business Development and ideally in the contract catering / cleaning industry. As a Business Development Manager, you will have great account management experience and a track record of quantifiable achievements in similar roles.

  • Proven sales ability with a blend of small, local and high-level national corporate contacts
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, leadership ability and ability to be a team player at all levels
  • Strong Account Manager with a proven track record of leading Sales discussions within a commercial environment
  • Ability to manage, influence and collaborate with both internal & external stakeholders at all levels
