With continued growth planned for the new financial year an opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Merchandiser to join the business to work within their head office.
What does this role as Assistant Merchandiser involve?
As Assistant Merchandiser you will be responsible for creating weekly and monthly reports to analyse the business's KPIs and forecast stock and sales requirements.

Identify and recommend actions such as price reductions and promotions.
Work with Buying to ensure suppliers deliver stock on time, to the agreed PO delivery window.
Ensure stock replenishment is maintained to drive sales and deliver optimum product availability.
Identify inventory liabilities and work with the Buying team and suppliers to resolve.
Ensure all sites remain within their stock budgets, manage the set buy value and intake margin both monthly and year end.
Work with the supply chain on the effective management and flow of stock.
What do I need to be successful in this role as Assistant Merchandiser?
Experience with a well-known retailer in a Assistant Merchandiser position
Previous experience with home or furniture product areas (desirable)
Proven track record in forecasting and building successful ranges and strategies
Able to build effective relationships across all levels within an organisation, communicating with clarity and credibility
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including IT proficiency
