Job Description

Are you a confident and analytical Senior Allocator/Assistant Merchandiser and looking for an exciting new challenge with a growing retailer?

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Merchandiser, Non-fashion to join this expanding, well recognised retailer, based in West London. The culture is great at this business, if you are an outgoing and sociable person, this is the perfect business for you!

Applicants for this Assistant Merchandiser position will need to be comfortable and confident in managing and analysing large amounts of data, with a great understanding of excel & WSSI. You need to be a good communicator across all levels, managing effective working relationships with suppliers and trading teams.

Key Responsibilities for this Assistant Merchandiser, Non-fashion role:

  • Updating the key reports on the department: WSSIs, Line Cards, Range Plans
  • Ordering product to fulfil sales requirements
  • Assisting in creating, planning and executing range changes
  • Close management of the Critical Path
  • Supporting the Merchandise Planner in all aspects of the effective running of the department

What skills and experiences will you need to be successful in this Assistant Merchandiser, Non-fashion role?

A good understanding of Buying and Merchandising

The ability to work effectively within a team

Excellent Excel Skills

Good communication skills - working closely with Buying, Branch Merchandising, Retail Operations, Logistics and external Suppliers

A thorough approach required on forecasting and planning sales and intake across the range]


- Salary up to £28,000
