Area Manager Managed Pubs

Location - Staffordshire / Shropshire

Package up to £45000 - £55000 Car Bonus


Our client is a market leading operator of licensed premises. As Area Manager, you will need to lead between 17- 20 Managers with an energetic and supportive style of leadership. We are looking for someone with lots of passion, energy and drive, a real self starter whom can engage with the teams and make tough commercial decisions when needed. You may be a frustrated Area/Regional Manager looking for progression but are struggling in a bigger corporate environment. If so this role is well worth applying too.

The Area Manager must be passionate about building effective, long standing relationships with their part managers.

  • The Area Manager's key responsibilities are to provide support and guidance to the managers to maximise the profit and opportunity of every outlet for both the business

  • The Area Manager will help the Lessees focus on the basics such as customer service, price points through a simple structured consistent approach

  • The Area Managers need to deliver operational excellence in everything they do both externally and internally.

  • The Area Managers influence through guiding and motivating the stakeholders to deliver exceptional standards and continuous growth.

  • An ability to lead and maintain the best pubs in the Industry is a key part to success

  • You will live on patch with a geography stretching from Wolverhampton to Burton.


  • As the Area Manager you will have a background of driving success within ideally a pub operator at a multi site level, with a clear level understanding of the pub sector across multiple formats is a preference.

  • You will possess excellent communication and commercial skills, displaying a proven track record in implementing growth plans and delivering results and maximising profit in a managed environment.

  • The Area Manager will be a resilient and tenacious individual who is adaptable to change and will thrive in a fast paced environment with an ability to set a vision and get the right people in the right places to deliver on that vision and drive the business continually forwards.

  • To succeed in the role of Area Manager the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an outgoing, affable personality, with a clear focus on the customer journey and P&L performance to achieve profit growth.

  • Degree educated is preferable but not essential, but a track record at Multi-site level in a bigger business is a must.

  • An ambition to kick on a lead Area Managers is also preferred, with experience in a managed house environment.
