Warehouse Team Leader (Goods in & Inventory) - Berkshire - up to £25,000. Our client is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Warehouse Team Leader (goods in and inventory) to help support the Product Buying team. This is a key appointment for the business, and you will be a key member of the Product Team in the Warehouse/Head Office based in Berkshire, you will help drive our continued sales growth in 2018.
What does the Warehouse Team Leader (Goods in & Inventory) role involve?
Manage a robust booking in and receiving process for all inbound deliveries of products, packaging and materials.
Work with Buying Assistant & suppliers to resolve quality issues on inbound deliveries.
Escalate supplier performance issues to Stock Control Manager in a timely fashion.
Receive & process product returns.
Maintain and optimise warehouse capacity in pick & storage locations.
Effectively track all stock movements within warehouse, minimising stock adjustments & losses.
Work with Buying Assistant and Transport to process stock transfers to store.
Maintain safe, secure & tidy warehouse environment.
Develop and implement robust processes in conjunction with Stock Control.
Manage a team of 4 operatives, including any relevant training.
Work closely with secondary warehouse and other locations -including regular visits.
Co-ordinate the stock take process.
Any other duties as deemed appropriate and according to business needs.
Essential Skills and experience required for this Warehouse Team Leader (Goods in & Inventory) role:
Previous experience in a warehousing environment in a stock control role.
Proven experience as a team leader/supervisor.
Intermediate level Excel knowledge.
Own car and driving license.
The following would be advantageous:
In-hours/EPOS/stock management system experience (eg.Navision).
Good communication skills- a people person.
Fork lift license.
