Job Description

**Supply Chain Assistant - West London - Up to £26k**

Are you accurate, analytical and capable of playing a lead role in a Supply Chain team?

Our client is a well-known UK retailer. Recognised as a brand whose strong values and culture are at the heart of their success, this business is now looking for a Supply Chain Assistant to ensure the continued delivery of the best possible service to their customers.

Key accountabilities:

  • Contribute ideas/help define strategy to deliver sales plan with the buying and retail teams

  • Drive efficiencies throughout the supply chain through continuous improvement of processes and automation

  • Perform operational daily tasks in order to deliver the right product at the right place at the right time and the right cost

  • Responsible for daily admin tasks and reporting on performance of their category including availability, waste and supplier performance

  • Demonstrate a flexible can-do attitude which owns and acts on issues

  • Build and nurture key relationships across external suppliers and internal colleagues

  • Responsible for ensuring updates of forecast information are processed on a daily basis to meet sales forecasts and the interface between SAP and suppliers is maintained

  • Responsible for delivering KPI's in waste management and availability whilst maximising sales opportunities

  • Be the primary day to day contact for all queries from suppliers, sales floor, buyers, distribution in relation to product availability

  • Maintain system to ensure accurate orders are raised

Qualifications, skills and experience for this Supply Chain Assistant role:

  • Planning, organising and prioritising

  • Good computer literacy - particularly Excel

  • Numerical analytical skills

  • Administration skills - able to pay good attention to detail

  • Personal initiative and drive

  • Ability to work within a team - supporting and enabling others

  • Some experience of merchandising/replenishment systems

  • Experience of working within high-volume retail - confidence with a large range of SKUs.
