We are looking for commercially minded, experienced merchandisers, who have an excellent proven track record of dealing with product in either DIY, Home, outdoor living, gifts, fashion or food high street retailers for a business who are thinking about expanding their team.
As Senior Merchandiser, Non-fashion you will inspire and lead your team, using a range of management styles to develop and motivate your team to achieve the best possible results for your category.
Ultimately you will be responsible for the successful delivery of sales, profit and stock targets through coordinating and coaching your team members to forecast and deliver an efficient forward plan for your category. You will review the development of this forward plan, reacting to trading conditions to ensure delivery of your category strategies.
With an eye for detail, you will regularly scan the market place to understand current and emerging buying habits within your category area. Analyse data and provide an insight on range performance, identifying and recommending commercial actions where necessary.
Ensure sales and stock data are as accurate as possible, through regularly checking the robustness of the WSSI data, raising areas of concern and dealing with these accordingly.
Excellent communication is essential as you will need to initiate and build strong relationships with suppliers, trading teams and merchandisers, making sure your forward plan is fully implemented and runs successfully and as smoothly as possible.
What qualities will you need to show, to be successful as Senior Merchandiser, Non-fashion?
At least 2 years experience in retail management of Merchandisers/Assistant Merchandisers.
A passionate and motivating leader, who can adapt coaching styles to inspire and develop a high performing team.
An eye for detail, with the ability to think about the bigger picture, making commercial decisions to benefit the business.
Strong understanding of analysing large amounts of data and WSSI management.
