Regional Support Manager - Career change for a Store Manager

12 Month Fixed Term Contract (possible permanent position following this period)

£25-30k Benefits, York, North East

This is a fantastic opportunity for Retail Managers to utilise their skills and experience and make a career change!

Our client, a well-respected retailer, is creating a number of new positions to drive a new labour management model in stores. You will be trained in the use of a number of different software packages and will be given an opportunity to develop your skills in what is a high growth jobs area not just in retail but in large employers across all industries. At the end of this fixed term contract you will have developed a combination of hard and soft skills that will provide you with an opportunity to develop a new specialist career. You will work on a Regional basis in close co-operation with Store Managers, your Area Manager and Head Office.

What will the role involve?

*Co-ordinate and build awareness of the monthly workload for stores in your region to support with resource planning and other key actions.

*Review and manage the budgeted staffing allocation for each store within the region, advising Store Managers on future scheduling requirements.

*Work with Head Office Central Operations where there are potential workload issues to resolve.

*Provide reporting and data to the Regional manager and Central Operations team on actual hours used.

*Engage with Store Managers to resolve any issues and escalate where the model is not fit for purpose.

*Drive best practice across the region in the implementation of all related workload management systems.

Previous experience & Skills

*Experience in Store Operations as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager level

*Proven leadership skills

*The ability to work with integrity and independence

*Experience of working cross functionally across a number of teams at once.

*Strong PC skills - working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

*Ability to influence at all levels
