Our client is a leading brand within the Home sector. With an obsession for customer service and operational excellence this is a rare opportunity for a high calibre individual to join as a Regional Manager.
Overall purpose of job: The Regional Manager is responsible for supporting the Retail Director with the delivery of the key Operational objectives for the Region, in particular those KPIs relating to achieving the sales and margin targets. A key part of the role will be communicating with all Store and Sales Managers to coach and develop them to deliver their Sales KPIs Key Accountability's: Working with Store and Sales Managers on a priority basis agreed with the Retail Director to coach, train and support Stores with the management and successful delivery of KPIs. Supporting store teams with following up agreed actions from Store Audits, Regional Manager visits and Regional Board meetings. Using experience and expertise to develop store teams. Imparting knowledge through demonstration of best practice and use of coaching skills to ensure that required improvements are effectively embedded to deliver ongoing success. Working in collaboration with the broader business to ensure that stores are delivering a rounded and sustainable performance. Store profitability through achieving all sales, margin and additional business stream targets Ensure improvement based on customer feedback and Mystery Shopper results to maximise the store potential.
You will be highly commercial, sales focused and results driven. You will have a proven track record in an Area Sales Manager position/ Regional Manager position. This will likely be a 2nd or 3rd appointment Area/Multi-site role for you. You be naturally inclined to be hands on and be has happy instore as you are in an Head Office environment.
With a positive approach, you will be a strong communicator and a skilled people manager and be adept at succession planning, sales driving and performance management. Experience as a retail Area Sales Manager in the Furniture / Telecoms / Homewares / DIY sector would be advantageous.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Multi-Site retail management experience within a customer service environment and experience of managing sales focused teams Good level of education including the ability to analyse and interpret numerical data Fully mobile with full driving license Excellent commercial awareness of the retail and economic environment in which the business operates
Leadership and Coaching style through people will be apparent
Managing customers and relationships
