As Head of Buying, Non-fashion, you will have full responsibility for overseeing the development and implementation of a robust commercial strategy and plan for your category. Driving performance of the category by leading, managing and motivating a team of buyers, to source, negotiate, develop and deliver the best and most enticing product ranges. Ultimately ensuring sales and profit is maximised.
Based in London, the Head of Buying, Non-fashion will continuously look for ways to improve and initiate change in processes where necessary, to grow and develop the furniture category. You will be comfortable with travel both internationally to suppliers and within the UK to stores. You will ensure product ranges are reflective of the current market trends and customers are offered the best and most competitive range in the market. You will need to be a leader but also be comfortable being hands on with product at the same time.

Have a proven track record of growing a big ticket category on a large scale.
Currently be responsible for managing and leading a team of engaged and motivated buyers.
Showcase leadership skills including; developing, mentoring and building strong relationships, internally and externally.
Be extremely strategic and a problem solver with the ability to think about the bigger picture and articulate this effectively across all levels.
Thrive in working in a fast paced environment under pressure.
