Assistant Merchandiser - London - Up to £30k - One of the UK's most well-known brands. This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Merchandiser to join a successful and well known retailer with fantastic career progression. Working closely with the buying team, this role provides opportunity to directly contribute to the strategic decision making and success of the business.

What does the Assistant Merchandiser role involve?

  • You will be responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of stock levels by store and DC with the Allocator's assistance, recommending and taking actions where necessary. This will include maintaining up-to-date knowledge of systems (Retek, Excel) so as to effectively assess stock levels

  • You will oversee model stock and replenishment from the DC, in addition to proactively identifying opportunities for transfer of stock and oversee allocation process. Including liaison with Retail Operations regarding any stock queries

  • You will oversee the system for re-ordering continuity product ensuring an effective reporting systems are in place to update Buying teams.

  • You will support the Merchandiser in OTB planning and Phasing Process, analysing OTB strategies, making recommendations and escalating OTB issues to the Merchandiser where required.

  • Assist the Merchandiser in updating and maintaining the WSSI.

  • Coordinate and manage the sale set up and execution, be the key point of contact for retail Operations.

  • You will provide weekly, seasonal and ad-hoc reports, supply tailored FP analysis for buyers highlighting focus areas and assist the merchandiser the maintenance of the WSSI.

  • You will be responsible for the management of the end to end RTV process, markdown and monitoring stocks into sale with a view of LY and plan.

  • You will manage the development of the Allocator along with their workload and priorities.

Essential Skills and experience required for this Assistant Merchandiser role:

  • You will have a keen interest in merchandising with experience working with branded products across multiple categories and locations.

  • You will be a natural problem solver with an efficient and methodical approach to work, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Highly numerate and analytical with attention to detail and great Excel skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex information to a broad audience.

  • A strong team player, motivated to learn and progress in their career.

  • Calm within a fast-paced environment.
